the family has been producing iron teapots in their foundry on Honshu Island. We love the simple, elegant shapes, noble colors, the warm, soft feel, and the excellent craftsmanship of these teapots. Thanks to the masterfully perfected craftsmanship, the teapot is lighter than other iron teapots, and the teapots are made from 70% recycled material. The interior is enameled at higher temperatures than usual. Compared to mass production methods, this type of production is 99% free of industrial waste. We are happy to be able to offer these environmentally conscious Tetsubin in our assortment.
Hand cleaning: After each use, rinse the iron teapot/Tetsubin with hot water and remove all tea residues, otherwise stains and rims may occur. Without soap, with a soft sponge. Wipe the still hot pot dry with a cloth.
