Hōjicha Dark Blend is a finely ground powder of strongly roasted Japanese green tea. The intense roasting process turns the leaves dark brown and the aroma becomes significantly stronger and smokier than with classic Houjicha. The taste is reminiscent of roasted nuts, hazelnut, and coffee notes with slight cocoa-like nuances.

Preparation for Cold Drink

  • In a blender, add 3 ice cubes, soy milk, a little vanilla + 2 bamboo scoops of Hōuji Powder. Blend it and enjoy!
  • Hōuji affogato - Put 2 bamboo scoops of Houji Powder into a bowl, pour in 80°C hot water, then whisk with a bamboo whisk, e.g., Chasen 80. Drown a scoop of vanilla ice cream in the bowl. Sounds quite dangerous - but it's just fun and tastes great!
