A small side-handle teapot from Tokoname. It is finely crafted and its surface resembles the trunk of a pine tree. An abstract cherry blossom as an additional ornament on the back of the delicate teapot makes this Kyusu a unique piece and a daily companion for all premium Japanese green teas. It is handmade and bears witness to the great craftsmanship of Japanese ceramic masters. The teapot has a finely pierced ceramic strainer.
Kyusu are particularly suitable for all types of Japanese green teas. The leaves can unfurl freely in the pot and are retained in the pot by the strainer in front of the spout. As Japanese green tea is infused multiple times, it is important that no water remains in the pot after each infusion to prevent over-steeping.
