Kiyomizu-yaki from Kyoto. Deep red, glossy glaze, upon which a crane flies in gold, surrounded by clouds in gold and silver. A fine gold rim frames the lip, a gold band the foot, inside shines white porcelain. The crane stands for long life and luck in Japan.
