GUINOMI USAGI
GUINOMI USAGI
HARS FROM JAPAN'S OLDEST MANGA.
Kiyomizu-yaki from Kyoto. White porcelain, featuring hares leaping through grass, hand-painted in iron red. The motif comes from the Chōjū-jinbutsu-giga, a picture scroll from the Kōzan-ji Temple in Kyoto, which is considered Japan's oldest manga. A brown border frames the rim.
"Playful and light – for a small sip of sencha, gyokuro, or sake."
