SPICY AND FLORAL.
The white mountain tea smells of wildflowers and dried grass. The best quality comes from the spring harvest. The fine long buds are separated from the two full leaves during harvesting and placed in a basket protected by a cloth. The two leaves are allowed to fall to the ground and thus act as natural fertilizer for the tea plant.
The buds are dried in the sun and then pressed into beautiful tea cakes. The color of the infusion is golden yellow.
In Chinese dietetics, white tea, especially Silver Needle, is said to have a yin-producing effect and is therefore drunk when there is too much heat and fire, or by those who are burdened with "toxins". The tea cake can also be stored (low odor and mild) by those who wish to, and then has a more balancing effect. The taste also matures. Generally, the floral notes are complemented with notes of honey and the woody tones gain depth.
