Black tea

We offer a selected assortment of Indian and Chinese black teas that meet the highest standards!

Black tea is a Chinese development from the 17th century and quickly became a popular export commodity until the beginning of colonial tea cultivation in South Asia.

For production, the plucked tea leaves are fully withered/matured and only dried after they have turned dark. Well-known black teas come, for example, from Darjeeling or Assam in India, Sri Lanka, and the Chinese provinces of Yunnan and Anhui.

Depending on the processing and tea hybrid, black teas often have floral-fruity notes or are hearty-malty.
